Ingredients Vary From Brand to Brand & Even From Batch to Batch...

There was a batch I got from a different brand I used long ago which I consider still a good brand they just stop making the nuggets which I prefer but they still make patties! That brand is BARF World, a highly rated food that worked well for me for over 10 years! It was nice because it was a little less expensive and delivered to my home directly from the BARF World company through FedEx or UPS. They don’t have but a few proteins so if you did use them, I suggest mixing that with other brands and proteins. But the point of my post here is that I got a batch from them and my dogs wouldn’t eat it at all. So I contacted them and they told me that they were experiencing that problem with the other customers as the mix was a little too rich in offal which meant they put more organ meats in it than normal, not necessarily that it would have a negative effect on the dog but it was just to rich from the extra offal and the dogs weren’t having anything to do with it. So I say this as I mentioned, there’s a lot of brands out there maybe the brand or couple brands you tried might’ve been too rich in something in the ingredients that your dog just didn’t like so maybe try other brands you might find something that he or she likes better just a little food for thought no pun intended, lol!

Picky Eater Won't Eat Raw?

I have heard of instances where some dogs don’t like, though I have never experienced myself. Huskies in particular can be very picky eaters, in fact some of my huskies past and present won’t eat tripe. The tripe is kind of nasty but very good for dogs when used properly. There’s different ways to try to entice a picky eater sometimes feed frozen foods like here either frozen totally or unfrozen I usually feed frozen or partially frozen. You can also try Freeze-Dried Raw Foods, they can be super expensive and not quite the same to me as frozen but maybe a good compromise and/or a good way to coerce a dog into a full raw diet.  Also there are what they call toppers which are like gravy or bone broth made for dogs….additionally there are lick mats and other feeding devices that you can smear the food on or put the food in that makes it more like a game or challenge and some dogs like to work at it and it coerces them to eat. Finally a lot of exercise will help make them hungry and more likely to eat almost anything….

What Frozen Foods Do I Use?

I use Primal, Northwest Naturals, Steve’s frozen raw dog food, & K-9 Kraving! Also quite expensive but the Primal rabbit (might be good for your dog to help get over to raw diet being picky) is very popular with my crew but again I give almost a different protein daily with like a 10 day rotation between brands/proteins… you can ask me any other questions I’m happy to help:)
